What is Graphene?

Graphene is a material that is extracted from graphite. It is made out of pure carbon and consists of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice. This unique structure gives graphene remarkable properties, such as exceptional electrical conductivity, high thermal conductivity, and incredible mechanical strength.

Graphene is incredibly thin, measuring just one atom thick, yet it is one of the strongest materials known, about 200 times stronger than steel. Despite its strength, graphene is also flexible and can be stretched up to 25% of its original length without breaking.

Why do we put graphene into our Sleep Masks?

Promotes Blood Circulation

  • The infrared radiation generated by the graphene heating film in the mask is similar to the wavelength of the human body. This can stimulate the skin to reproduce new cells and increase blood circulation.

Improved Heat Conduction

  • Graphene has high thermal conductivity, allowing it to efficiently transfer heat. This makes graphene sleep masks effective for soothing tired or puffy eyes, as they can help dissipate heat from the skin around the eyes.

Enhanced Durability

  • Known for its strength and flexibility, graphene makes these sleep masks more durable and long-lasting compared to traditional sleep masks, which may need to be replaced more frequently. Our graphene sleep masks last up to 2 years.

Potential Eye & Skin Benefits

  • Some studies suggest that graphene has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which can benefit the skin around the eyes. A graphene sleep mask might help reduce redness, swelling, or irritation. Graphene masks heat rapidly and generate far-infrared waves that are similar to the human body’s. This can effectively soothe the eyes and alleviate eye fatigue.

Lightweight Material

  • Graphene is a thin and lightweight material. Sleep masks made with graphene could be more comfortable to wear for longer periods compared to thicker, heavier masks.

Enhanced Skin Absorption

  • Graphene's unique structure allows it to form a barrier that enhances the absorption of skincare products. A graphene sleep mask could help these products penetrate the skin more effectively, providing better results.

Migraine Relief

  • Anecdotal evidence suggests that the darkness provided by the mask, along with the gentle heating effect, can help alleviate migraines.
